Ebb & Flow - Michelle Austen Art Exhibition Master's Gallery 2022

Ebb is like a sunset; peaceful, still, tranquil, relaxing, reflective, dreaming.

Flow is like a waterfall; energetic and seemingly effortless, with no sense of time.

Flow State is that “sense of fluidity between your body and mind, where you are totally absorbed by and deeply focused on something, beyond the point of distraction. Finding flow state is my happy place. It’s where my best creative work comes from.

Learning to appreciate the ebb has been my work in progress. Taking detours and navigating around obstacles with grace. It is hard, it is rewarding, it is life. It is knowing that everything is always in a state of change, and I see nature as a beautiful reminder of that.

I am learning to be comfortable in my own skin regardless of what I cannot change.  I am learning to nourish and rest in quiet still moments to maximize my energy and fully enjoy life when the flow begins again.

This show is a result of finding my creative flow state, continuing to learn to appreciate exactly where I am at any given moment, and about trusting the quiet still waters that are preparing me for the next wave.
